USA Today Bestselling Novels
of Mystery and Women's Fiction

  • Simply want a good story, well told?

I write the kind of book I like to read. And what I want is to be swept up into a safe space where I can meet realistic characters, share in their joys and fears, and journey with them in vivid color.  I want to fall in love, unearth secrets, witness the fallout, and then bask in the reconciliation. I want to read stories that touch my heart (without the explicit), compel me to turn the next page (without horror), and leave me with a smile and a sigh (hold the sappiness).  And -- call me persnickety -- I want a book that isn't riddled with careless errors.

  • 20+ years of traditionally and indie published works

My first seven books were published with Penguin Putnam and Warner Books, but since 2009 I've been taking my novels directly to readers and cutting out the middle people. Being a control freak, I prefer the latter because it allows me to make all the important decisions about cover art, blurbs, titles, and timing. But I never skimp on necessary editing and proofreading.

  • In print, audio, and ebook formats

All of my titles are available as both ebooks and print books, and many are also available in audio. They can be purchased at any major online bookstore, or you can find specially priced book bundles (Edie Claire Collections) on this site.  If you're a library lover, you'll be happy to know that all my titles are also available to libraries -- you just have to ask! (Find out out more here.)
